After the end of the so-called public phase for comments for the GuoBiao (GB) standard on automotive cybersecurity on July 05, 2023, we are now eagerly awaiting the new draft version of the said GB, which will presumably be published by the responsible Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) at the end of Q3/2023.
In addition to the hoped-for changes in the regulatory text itself, those affected by the regulation expect in particular an accompanying "explanatory document" that provides more conceptual clarity regarding the requirements relevant under homologation law for the cybersecurity of vehicles by OEMs and suppliers.
